The when is hopefully very soon. While medical cannabis became legal January 2025, the state still had to cultivate it and set up packaging and distribution Please note: as of June 27, 2025, no medical cannabis dispensaries are open. You can get your medical card quickly for now but we forecast it becoming lengthly processing times as soon as all the shops open up. It is also a great idea to come see us at Med Card District and have your medical cannabis card ready when the dispensaries do open because there could be shortages of medication as well- Hopefully not but it has been known to happen in other states.
What we do know is who and where the dispensaries will be. The Kentucky medical cannabis site is keeping everything up to date so you can tentatively plan where you’ll be able to purchase your medications from.
